Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

First UK Edition, Second Printing, Bloomsbury 2000, Hardcover, Signed by J.K. Rowling

An exceptional authentically signed first UK edition, second printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling. This copy was signed in black ballpoint pen to the dedication page at a charity fundraising event organised by Herts Film Link shortly after publication, held at Leavesden Studios, the principal filming location for the Harry Potter films. Signed second printing examples of Goblet of Fire are notably uncommon. During the Hogwarts Express Tour and in the immediate post-publication period, the vast majority of copies signed by Rowling were first printings, making signed second printings significantly scarcer in the marketplace.

A near fine example, the book remains tight and square with no colour fading to the boards or dust jacket. There is light marginal toning to the page edges, as expected. The spine base shows two small creases and some minor bumping, while the spine tip remains well preserved. Internally, the pages are clean and free from ownership inscriptions, unwanted marks, or dog-ears. The unclipped dust jacket presents in fine condition overall, showing only the slightest touch of edge wear, and is protected in a removable Brodart cover. The book comes in a custom made, black clamshell box with red internal trays and gold gilt lettering to the spine.

The signature has been fully authenticated by Adam Houston, The Harry Potter Specialist, widely regarded as the foremost authority on authenticating Rowling’s signature. The book is accompanied by a comprehensive authentication package, including a letter of authenticity and collector card, offering complete confidence for the serious collector.
