This is a first English paperback edition, 23rd printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, signed by J.K. Rowling on the dedication page in black pen. This signature represents an early-1999 variation, consistent with the period surrounding the release of the Chamber of Secrets paperback in January 1999. During this time, Rowling undertook a series of signing events across the UK, including Scotland, Birmingham, and London, where she also signed early paperback copies of Philosopher’s Stone.
Early signed reprints of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone are highly collectible. This particular copy is in very good condition showing some creasing to the upper right side of the front cover and the lower left side of the rear cover. The book also has a minor lean and some rubbing to the corners with some shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, the pages are clean, with no ownership inscriptions or unwanted marks, and only the usual toning to page edges as expected.
