Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
First UK Edition, Sixtieth Printing Paperback, Bloomsbury, Signed by J.K. Rowling, Fine Condition
This copy is a first edition paperback, sixtieth printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It was signed to the half-title page in blue ballpoint pen. This is an early-2000 variation of Rowling’s signature. At this time Rowling was only conducting book signings at very select events.such as the Edinburgh International Book festival. Outside of those the only avenue for obtaining an authentic J.K. Rowling signature were ones sent out from her office, which were typically reserved for charities.
This is a stunning copy, in fine condition, completely unread, with a tight and square binding and no bowing to the front cover, which is quite rare with these paperback copies. The page edges have hardly any toning to the page edges or fading to the spine, which is also very rare. Internally there are no ownership inscriptions, unwanted marks or writing of any kind and there are no dog eared pages, folds or creases to any of the pages.
This book has clearly been very well looked after and comes housed in a custom made red clamshell box with bespoke gold lettering to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘The Harry Potter Specialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
