Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2
A Set of 224 Production Photographs by Jaap Buitendijk, 21x15cm
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 & 2. A scarce set of production photographs by Jaap Buitendijk, comprising 224 film stills housed in three black card cases lettered in gilt, issued only to producers and not commercially released for sale. High definition and vibrant gloss photographs each measuring 21x15cm, depicting the filming and production of iconic scenes with central characters, all captioned at lower margins: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1/2: 2009/10 Warner Bros. Ent. All Rights Reserved. Harry Potter Publishing Rights Copyright J.K.R. (Photo: Jaap Buitendijk).
Provenance: This set was bought directly from someone who worked in the Transportation Department as a chauffeur on all of the Harry Potter films, looking after and driving one of the main producers, David Barron. He continued to assist Barron during the production of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle, and Cinderella. Barron was presented with these cased sets of movie stills and kept them safely in his desk, later giving them to his chauffeur. Very scarce. Only a handful of these cased movie stills were presented to the producers of the Harry Potter films, meaning they will rarely, if ever, appear on the open market. The images were taken by acclaimed movie stills photographer Jaap Buitendijk.
