Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
First UK Edition, First Printing, Bloomsbury 2007, Hardcover, Dated and Inscribed by J.K. Rowling, Pristine Presentation Copy
This extremely rare presentation inscription is found in a first edition, first impression of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The dated inscription reads: “To Dotti, 21st July 2007, thank you! Jo, J.K. Rowling x.” This copy was presented to the original recipient Dotti, who was J.K. Rowling’s publicist at the time of publication. The majority of signed copies of Deathly Hallows were from the midnight release event at the Natural History Museum, London, and these were mostly inscribed to the recipients of the book. Presentation copies of this book are so rare that currently only three copies are known to exist.
This book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no fading at all. The book is unread, with sharp corners and a tight, square binding. Internally, the pages are crisp, bright white, and completely clean with no ownership inscriptions or marks of any kind. A beautiful example of a book and dust jacket in perfect condition. It comes housed in a black clamshell box made specifically for this book, with the title and author’s name printed in gold leaf on the spine. It also comes with a large two-page newspaper article from The Guardian dated Saturday 21st July 2007.
This copy does not have the holographic sticker, as expected with a presentation copy. It comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘The Harry Potter Specialist’, the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. The package includes a full authentication certificate, letter of authenticity, and collector card.
