This particular signature is found in a first edition, first printing, hardback copy of The Casual Vacancy. It was obtained by a Glasgow resident in person following a Q&A at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at London’s Southbank Centre on September 27th 2012 – the day the book was released to the public.While a few pleasantries were exchanged, due to the fast paced nature of the signing, no inscriptions were permitted. Hachette Book Group confirmed that 1,000,000 copies of the first printing of the UK edition had been printed.
The book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no fading at all, the pages are clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing to the text block at all. A beautiful example of a book and dust jacket in perfect condition.
