Complete Set of First Editions, First Printings, Bloomsbury, J.K. Rowling

A complete seven-volume set of the Harry Potter Deluxe Editions, all first editions, first printings, published by Bloomsbury.

The first three volumes carry the complete number line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1, indicating first printings, while volumes four through seven are each stated “First Edition” on the copyright page, as issued.

These Deluxe Editions were the first Harry Potter books produced specifically for collectors. Larger than the trade editions, they are handsomely bound in cloth boards, with gold-gilt page edges, gilt titles, and J.K. Rowling’s facsimile signature stamped in gold.
The Prisoner of Azkaban was the first Deluxe volume, released in July 1999 alongside the trade edition, with Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets Deluxe Editions following in September 1999. All subsequent Deluxe Editions were issued simultaneously with their respective trade editions.

Overall condition is near-fine, with The Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows in fine condition. The remaining volumes show minor marginal toning, light rubbing, and slight bumping to spine tips and corners, consistent with careful shelf wear. Chamber of Secrets has a couple of small indentations to the rear board, and Prisoner of Azkaban shows a few tiny white specks to the rear board; both remain near-fine. Internally, all seven volumes are exceptionally clean.

A handsome, complete, and increasingly scarce collector’s set.
