Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
First UK Edition, 20th Printing, Bloomsbury 1999, Signed by J.K. Rowling, Fine
This particular book is signed by J.K. Rowling in black pen to the dedication page. Signed copies of Prisoner of Azkaban are very scarce in any printing, with the popularity of Harry Potter, Jo had stopped doing as many signing events as she had done previously and instead Bloomsbury started sending out signed bookplates to book stores to help promote the book. This is a 2000 variation of Rowling’s signature. The book came out in 1999 and there were only a limited number of opportunities to have a copy of the book signed. Although her 2000 signing events were focused on book 4, Rowling was happy to sign copies of her other book quickly.
The book and dust jacket presented here are in fine condition with no fading at all, the pages are bright and clean with no obvious toning to the page edges, no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing of any kind. A beautiful example of a book in fine condition.
The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘theHarryPotterspecialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
