Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

First UK Edition, First Printing, Bloomsbury 2000, Hardback, Signed by J.K. Rowling, Fine

For the launch of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling embarked on her four-day Hogwarts Express Book Tour, setting off in a red steam train from Platform 1 (renamed platform 9 3/4) at 11 o’clock at Kings Cross Station, London – visiting locations including Oxford, Manchester, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Perth. She then returned to conduct signing events for fans who had a golden ticket at venues including Harrods (London), Hatchards (London), Borders Books (Brighton), Ottakar’s Plc (Kent) and Books etc (London). This particular book was signed at the Ottakar’s event on Tuesday 18th July 2000 and is accompanied by the original golden ticket.

In beautiful condition, this book is bright and clean, unread with no internal markings, no inscriptions, it is entirely clean inside. The binding is tight, the edges are sharp, no colour fading, overall in fine condition aside from some minor bruising to the base of the spine, showing two small creases. There is little toning to the top edge which is almost always the case as often all page edges are found with some degree of toning due to the cheap paper stock used with the UK editions. The dust jacket is in fine condition with full colour and no fading to the spine. All in all it is a fantastic copy housed in a quarter leather blue clamshell box.

This first printing copy comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘theHarryPotterspecialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity collector card and original golden ticket.
