Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince & Deathly Hallows

The Harry Potter German Alternative Covers Set includes Books 5, 6, and 7 – The Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and Deathly Hallows – published by Carlsen in 2003, 2005, and 2007. These rare German bookseller edition dust jackets were sent to booksellers prior to the official release as a special thank-you and were never intended for public sale, making them extremely scarce and collectible.

Book 5 – The Order of the Phoenix features a brown dust jacket with a roman numeral V on the front cover to conceal the artwork underneath. Inside is a personal message from J.K. Rowling:
“Dear booksellers, I am delighted to know that Harry has had the good fortune to be on your shelves in Germany. I send you all my thanks and best wishes.”

Book 6 – Half-Blood Prince (2005) displays a unique illustration on the dust jacket differing from the book cover underneath, with another thank-you message from J.K. Rowling:
“Dear Booksellers, Once again I would like to send my special thanks to you all for working so enthusiastically to bring Harry Potter’s world to so many German speaking readers. Very best wishes.”

Book 7 – Deathly Hallows (2007) uses a brown dust jacket with roman numeral VII on the spine, showing a peeled-back corner revealing a glimpse of the front cover. No message from J.K. Rowling is included in this edition.

Overall, this beautiful set is in fine to near-pristine condition. Each book has like-new dust jackets, the pages are clean with no ownership inscriptions, dog-eared pages, or marks, and all books are highly sought after by collectors due to their rarity.  A very rare set to find together in this superb condition.
