First UK Editions, Hardback, Bloomsbury, Later Printings, All Signed by J.K. Rowling for The Mac Ball in 2007, Pristine
These are all authentic J.K. Rowling signatures found in first UK edition copies of the first 4 books in the series. Each copy is signed in blue ink to the title page. A rare set signed together, all of which were presented by J.K. Rowling for a charity auction at ‘The Mac Ball’ held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on 6th October 2007. The money from the sale of the books was in aid of Breast Cancer Care Scotland. Each book is presented with J.K. Rowling’s Deathly Hallows midnight release hologram. The books were originally apart of a 1-7 book set sold at Sotheby’s auction house on 11th July 2024 for £21,600.
This set comes with provennace relating to The Mac Ball, which includes photocopies of the original invitation card and printed list of lots for ‘Main Auction’ featuring ‘Complete series of 7 Harry Potter books signed by J.K. Rowling.’ The Philosopher’s Stone and the Chamber of Secrets are both 34th printings, the prisoner of Azkaban is a 33rd printing and the Goblet of Fire is a 25th printing.
All four books along with their dust jackets are in amazing, pristine condition. All books have been preserved perfectly since their sale in 2007. It’s no wonder the complete set sold for almost £22,000. The condition of these books is truly stunning. They are clearly unread, with square and tight bindings, all with full colours, no creases, no marks no fading to the books or dust jackets. A stunning and extremely rare set to find in this condition with provenance.
All four signatures come fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘theharrypotterspecialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. This set comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity for the signatures, a letter of authenticity for the provenance and a separate collector card for each book.
