This particular copy was signed in black ball point pen and is characteristic of J.K. Rowling’s 1999 signature variation. This book was signed at Books of Wonder in New York City during Jo’s second promotional tour across the United States. The recipient had been a children’s book editor for over 20 years.
The book is in near fine condition. It is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners and no unwanted markings to the front or back. There is some minor evidence of bruising to the spine tip and base keeping it out of the fine condition category. Internally the pages are white and fresh with no dog ears, no ownership inscriptions or any unwanted marks or flaws. The book comes housed in a purple clamshell box made purposely for this book, with the title and author’s name printed in gold leaf to the spine.
