Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
First UK Edition, 30th Printing Paperback, Bloomsbury, Signed by J.K. Rowling
This copy is a first English paperback edition, 30th printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It was signed to the dedication page in blue ballpoint pen at Perth Railway Station on July 11th, 2000, three days following publication of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as part of her Hogwarts Express Book Tour. Included with the book is a hand written note from the original owner Kirsty who describes how she met J.K. Rowling aboard the Hogwarts train when she was just 10 years old.
Early signed reprints of Philosopher’s Stone are highly collectible books. This is a lovely copy that appears unread with a tight and square binding. There is some creasing to the lower right side of the front cover and the lower left side of the back cover. It has some very minor shelf wear to the corners as to be expected and a faded spine. Internally there are no ownership inscriptions, marks or writing of any kind with no dog eared pages, folds or creases to any of the pages. Overall the book is in beautiful near fine condition with provenance from the original recipient.
The signature and inscription come fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘theharrypotterspecialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
