Harry Potter and the Philosopher‘s Stone, Chamber of Secrets & Prisoner of Azkaban
Hardback First UK Editions, Later Printings, All Signed and inscribed by J.K. Rowling ‘To Chris’ Bloomsbury, Fine
The books presented here are three later printing (all 34th printing) copies of the first three Harry Potter books, each signed and inscribed ‘To Chris, with love from J.K. Rowling’ in blue ink to the half title pages. The original owner (Chris) noted that they were given to him as a birthday present when he was 10 years old in November 2003 by a late family friend names Pauline who also knew J.K. Rowling. A fine set that has been well looked after over the years.
The Philosopher’s Stone 34th printing copy has some slight bumping to the spine base of the book and a slight bump to the bottom left corner on the rear board. Aside from this the book is in perfect condition, the binding is square and tight, it is completely unread with bright white pages, no foxing, no toning as is often found, no marks or ownership inscriptions of any kind, perfect internally. The dust jacket is bright with perfect colouring, no fading to the spine, but has some slight shelf wear to the top edge.
The Chamber of Secrets 34th printing copy has some slight bumping to the spine base of the book. Apart from that, the book is a perfect copy. Ever so slightly superior to the Philosopher’s Stone book as described above. The dust jacket is pristine.
The prisoner of Azkaban 34th printing has one tiny bump to the bottom right corner on the front board. Apart from that the book and dust jacket are perfect, pristine. An outstanding copy similar to the Chamber of Secrets listed above.
All three signatures come fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘theharrypotterspecialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. This set comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card.
This is an extremely rare set of the first three books to find all inscribed with provenance.
