Harry Potter and the Philosopher / Sorcerer’s Stone
Gujarati Translation, First Edition, Manjul 2004
The Gujarati translation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is considered one of the most difficult translation to find, according to Peter Kenneth ‘thePotterCollector’s YouTube video from 2019 titled ‘6 extremely hard to find Harry Potter books.’ Currently this translation is considered the third most difficult translation to find after Asturian and Greenlandic. This is the only copy currently for sale on the open market.
This is a very good copy that appears unread, it has all of the pages present and in tact with no rips or tears of any kind. There are no creases to front or back covers or to the spine of the book and the binding still feels tight and square. All things considered, especially with the Malayalam Harry Potter books coming out of India being notoriously in terrible condition, this is in pretty good shape. The inner flaps to the front and back covers are still present and in great shape, the interior of the book has no ownership inscriptions which is rare for Indian books. Some of the pages have some minor stains and the pages edges show some browning. The gold foiling from the front cover and spine is slightly faded but still present to the front cover and spine. Only a few of these books are known to exist in Collector’s hands with full gold foiling. Overall this is a very collectible copy.
