Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix

First UK Edition, First Printing, Bloomsbury 2003, Hardcover, Signed by J.K. Rowling

This Signature is found in a first edition, first printing copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It is signed in blue ball point pen to the title page. J.K. Rowling didn’t conduct any public signing events for the release of this book, however few copies were signed and sent out from her office to support causes chosen by her charitable trust. Order of the Phoenix is the hardest first UK trade edition of all the Harry Potter books to find authentically signed by Rowling. Copies with bookplates signed by Rowling between 1999-2003 are occasionally found stuck into copies of Order of the Phoenix but it is incredibly rare to find copies signed straight into the book as Rowling had recently had a baby and was keeping a low profile and not making many public appearences.

In near fine condition, this book has a square and tight binding with no colour fading. Internally, there are no unwanted marks, no ownership names, it is entirely clean inside with very minimal toning and no spotting to the page edges which is extremely rare with these books. The spine tip and base have some minor bumping and there is a small crease that runs up from the base of the spine. The dust jacket is in fine condition, priced at £16.99, not price clipped and is without fading. It is a crisp dust jacket protected in a clear removeable archival cover.

This first printing copy comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston ‘The Harry Potter Specialist’ the world’s leading expert in authenticating J.K. Rowling’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Also included is a maroon quarter leather clamshell box with gold gilt lettering to the spine, custom made to the highest quality specifically for this book.
