Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
First UK Edition, First Printing, Hardcover, Bloomsbury 2005, Signed by J.K. Rowling, Fine with Provenance
This signature is found in a first UK edition, first printing copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Because Rowling only conducted one signing event for this book for a limited and select number of people it has become extremely hard for collectors to acquire an authentically signed copy. This particular copy was donated by J.K. Rowling to be sold at a charity auction on the 10th June 2008. The winner of the auction kept the book in their possession for over 16 years accompanied by the original programme, table plan and email print out detailing conversation between the auction winner and the event organiser.
This is a fine copy in unread condition with sharp corners and an extremely tight and square binding. The book has extremely white and crisp page edges and there is no colour fading at all to the book or dust jacket. There is some minor creasing to the very top of the spine, but aside from this it is in pristine condition. The dust jacket itself is in stunning condition without flaws. Internally the book is perfect, clean without any ownership inscriptions, no marks or dog eared pages, a beautiful copy housed in a blue quarter leather clamshell box with gold gilt lettering to the spine.
The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theharrypotterspecialist the world’s leading expert in authenticating Jo’s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity, collector card and provenance.
